REVIEW: Christiano’s Italian Restaurant For My Son’s Birthday Dinner

Last night we were celebrating my oldest son Kyle’s birthday. His choice is always Italian food, and if you read my blog last week, you would see a trend that my family LOVES Italian food!

We decided to try Christiano’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Santa Rosa Beach. They are located on HWY 98 just 4 miles east of Sandestin.

What a great choice!

We were greeted kindly when we entered the restaurant, and our server was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. A special touch was Chef Chris Chirum meeting every patron. This never happens any more and really enjoyed meeting him.

Our choices were an appetizer of Calamari that was cooked to absolute perfection. It was definitely the lightest calamari I have ever tasted.

Birthday Boy had the Manicotti. It’s a trio of cheese filled pasta rolls topped with homemade marinara sauce and cheese. Kyle cleaned his plate said it was the best he ever had.

I chose the Roman Chicken Tortellini. It was a rich garlic and butter sauce with chicken, mushrooms, spinach, roasted red peppers and prosciutto. I wanted to try something different than my usual lasagna and the combination of ingredients sparked my interest. It was delicious and I am so glad I chose it!

Hubby chose the healthiest dish of the three, The Grouper Elizabeth. This meal is a healthy portion of fresh grouper topped with jumbo lump crab meat and almonds and served with European green beans and rice. A light and tasty meal.

The birthday dessert was a canolli with a chocolate syrup “Happy Birthday” and candle. The perfect way to end a meal.

We really felt they appreciated our business and since we love Italian food so much…we will definitely be going back.

Give Christiano’s Italian Restaurant a try. You won’t be disappointed.
